Meet the director
DescripThis is a new chapter for your memory book! A small exclusive group of up to 20 people can enjoy a drink in the director's office. This is a room filled with extraordinary treasures from Thor Heyerdahl's adventurous life. You will be greeted by our director, Liv Heyerdahl, who will share stories about the museum and her legendary grandfather. This can be combined with a tour and meals.tion goes here

Formel dinner
We set up a cozy three-course dinner in the museum's magical atmosphere. Groups of up to 75 people can be served right next to the Kon-Tiki raft. It is also possible to use the raft itself as a stage for the event.

Casual dinner
Have a drink and enjoy a standing buffet in a tropical setting. Smaller groups can be served next to the Kon-Tiki raft (up to 150), and larger groups can use the entire museum, including the exhibition hall with the reed boat RA II.

A glass and a tour
Enjoy a drink at the museum combined with a guided tour. Try a Kon-Tiki Landing, our pisco-based signature drink launched in 2022 for the 75th anniversary of the Kon-Tiki expedition. The tour can be in Norwegian, English, or French and lasts about an hour.

Garden party
Combine your museum visit with a summer party in the museum's garden. Behind the museum building is a secluded and beautiful garden where private events can be hosted in a tent. It is perfect for summer parties or "back to work" events for groups of 50+. With round tables seating 8 people each, a cozy atmosphere is created. Barbecue food or seafood can be served.

Lecture
We offer lectures in the auditorium (up to 100 people) on a chosen topic. This can be about Thor Heyerdahl’s life, the incredible Kon-Tiki expedition, the unveiling of the mysteries of Easter Island (Rapa-Nui), or other of Thor Heyerdahl's adventures. Duration is 1-2 hours. It is also possible to use the Kon-Tiki raft as a stage.
